The CapsuLight project aims at the design of new therapeutic solutions against Helicobacter pylori, a worldwide-diffused bacterium affecting the gastric mucosa.

CapsuLight is a small swallowable capsule, as small as an antibiotic pill, that emits light at specific wavelengths to optimize bacteria photo-killing by exploting the principles of the Photodynamic Therapy.

Capsulight kills the bacterium only by means of light, with no use of drugs, thus avoiding any drug-related side effects. Capsule is disposable and safe, and will rely on technologies available on the market since 15 years.
